Principal’s Message:  Finally, the weather appears to be warming up and we are seeing signs of spring.  It has been a busy time at Ray Lewis as we celebrated Earth Week with lots of fun activities and wrapped the week up with a Community Clean Up.  Our #JerseysforHumboldt Day was very well received as staff and students showed their support for those affected by that tragedy.    Our Boys and Girls basketball teams have been very successful with both teams advancing to the quarter finals.  Best of luck to both teams!  As the year end comes closer, we have many more activities on the horizon.  Please be sure to watch for notices, check our website and see the school sign for more information!

Open House:  Our annual Open House event is set for Thursday, May 10th from 5:00 pm to 6:45 pm.  This year, we will be highlighting student artwork in by transforming the halls and classrooms of Ray Lewis into an art exhibit!  All students will have work our on display for parents, friends and visitors to see.  Please join us starting at 5:00 pm for dinner provided by some amazing Food Trucks, serving up delicious foods and treats.

Book Fair:  Our Book Fair will also coincide with Open House.  Watch for more details coming home soon!

Class Building:  It is that time of year again when we seek input from parents for their child’s class placement for next year.  We ask that all requests be submitted in writing to the office.  We welcome any information you can share about your child’s learning style and needs.  This is not an opportunity to request a specific teacher or placed with specific children/friends.  As the staffing process is on-going, and teaching placements are not finalized until the end of the year, that information will be released in late June.  Please use the following attachment to submit your input for class building.  Forms are due by May 25th.  Class Building Info Sheet
