October’s Character Education Focus – Self Control/Self Regulation
Mount Hope celebrated our September Character Education focus on Respect & Safety showcasing work done across classrooms in all divisions. The assembly also gave us an opportunity to welcome our next learning focus which is Self Regulation/Self Control. Students learned that managing self control stems from the activity in their brain allowing one to to be calm, alert and ready to face any circumstances that life presents them. Students will have the opportunity to learn strategies to regulate their behaviour, emotions and mindset daily. We look forward to building strategies school wide and will share our learnings at our next Character Education assembly held on Monday November 4th at 11 a.m. in our gymnasium. Parents and caregivers are welcome to join us!
