September 22 Update

Hello Jaguar Families,

Revised COVID-19 Information

HWDSB and the Public Health Department for the City of Hamilton have revised some information to support our efforts to keep everyone safe at school. If students have been absent from school with COVID symptoms, they need to provide a completed  Attestation for Return to School when they return. Families can refer to the Decision Guide Symptomatic Child at Home when deciding if their child should stay home because they are not feeling well. We thank families in advance for being cautious and for connecting with the school with any questions that they might have.

School Council Meeting

All parents and guardians are welcome to attend this year’s first Janet Lee Virtual School Council Meeting on Tuesday September 28 @ 6:30 pm. We will be meeting via Microsoft Teams, so please click Janet Lee September School Council Meeting at that time to join in. I hope you can make it!

Late Arrival and School Access

A reminder to families that part of our efforts to keep everyone safe is restricting access to the school. If your child arrives late, please buzz the front door and wait for support from the office. Students are welcome to enter the building, but we ask all parents and caregivers not to enter the school unless it is absolutely necessary. Staff are happy to communicate with our families by phone, email or Microsoft Teams. Your child’s agenda/ Kindergarten important bag is checked daily and can also be used to communicate with the school.

Parking Lot

Thanks to everyone for using the drop off section and visitor’s parking lot safely. We appreciate your patience during the busy times of entry and dismissal. Now that our students are back into the routines of school, we ask that parents and guardians of Grade 1-8 students remain off of the playground and field during these busy times. These measures are another step we can take to try to keep everyone safe.

Thanks for your ongoing support,

J. Gris

Principal
