Notice of unleashed dog on school property

Dear Families,  

This letter is to inform you that an unleashed dog came onto our school property during school hours.

We immediately made an announcement for the students to remain indoors and called Animal Services. 

All students were safe. Students were kept indoors for second nutrition break. Shortly after, Animal Services arrived at our school and deemed the area safe.  

Staff members have been advised to be watchful during outdoor activities. If there is an animal sighting during outdoor activities (e.g., nutrition breaks, physical education classes, DPA etc.), we will move indoors.    

Students have been told not to approach strange animals and to tell staff if one has been seen.
