REMINDER: Parent Portal Now Open
Hello Helen Detwiler Community,
As you may be aware, HWDSB has opened up the Parent Portal for those families wishing to make a change from their current learning mode (before the winter break).
For example, if your child attended Helen Detwiler in person before the winter break, and you would now like them to switch to Remote Learning when in-person learning resumes, please complete this request in the Parent Portal.
Families wishing to make a change from in-person learning to remote learning or from remote learning to in-person learning must submit their request through the HWDSB Parent Portal by Sunday, January 24th, 2021 @ 11:59pm.
Please know that our goal is to meet parental requests; however, we may be unable to do so if space does not exist. Also, there will be another transition point in the spring. More details will be forthcoming from our board.
If there is no change to the current learning model for your child(ren), there is no need to submit a request through the portal. Please refer to the announcement made by HWDSB on January 14th for specific details. The announcement can be found here
