Arranging Pickup/Early Dismissal

Helen Detwiler Community,

This is just a reminder that if you and your child arrange a school pickup/early dismissal through text messaging, it is imperative that the main office be informed.  Recently, we have had a number of students being picked up and/or leaving school property without the staff in the main office having any knowledge of the arrangement.  It is preferred that students communicate through the main office and/or their classroom teachers when requesting an early pickup.

For the safety of all our students, if arrangements are being made via text messaging, the school must be informed of this arrangement prior to your child leaving school property.

Please note that students should always leave through the main doors of Helen Detwiler and check-in/signout with the office prior to leaving the building.
