Terry Fox Run & Orange Shirt Day

Please note that our students and staff will be recognizing both Terry Fox and Orange Shirt day this week.  The Terry Fox run is scheduled for tomorrow (rain date Thursday) and Orange Shirt Day is on Wednesday, September 30th.

Terry Fox Run Details

Teachers have selected a time for their own class to go out and run.  There will be three run areas for students to participate.  In order to maintain physical distancing, only three classes at 1 time will be permitted to run.  The Terry Fox run will go throughout the day while Grade 8 students will be providing music to keep everyone excited to give it their best.  Please remember that there are no cash donations being collected.  If your family is in a position to do so and would like to make a donation to the Terry Fox organization, you can do so by clicking here.  Each class will be running/walking/jogging for approximately 30 minutes.  Please come to school with footwear and clothing that allows for active participation in the run.

Orange Shirt Day

On Wednesday, September 30th, all schools across HWDSB will be participating and recognizing Orange Shirt Day.  We encourage all of our staff and students to wear something orange on this day.  To find out more about Orange Shirt Day, please click here.
