Police Investigation at Helen Detwiler

Dear Families,

Hamilton Police Service attended Helen Detwiler Elementary School today to investigate a possible threat that was made over the phone that impacted the school.

Following our safe schools protocol, staff immediately contacted the police and evacuated both the daycare and childcare programs. Police arrived at the school and conducted an investigation.

They determined there was no credible threat to the school.

Incidents such as these are taken very seriously.

We want you to know that student safety is of the utmost importance at Helen Detwiler. We thank Hamilton Police for their support.
