First Week Musings

We have had a great first week at Helen Detwiler.  It has been great to get to know our students and begin to build our new classroom communities.

Student Safety:

We ask for your help during arrival and departure times so that we can ensure the safety of all of our students.

No Stopping – Please be advised that the school side of Brigade Drive is a NO STOPPING zone. Bylaw may ticket people who stop in these areas to drop of children.  

Kiss and Ride – This lane is used to drop students off.  Students should exit on the sidewalk side of the car. There is NO PARKING in the Kiss and Ride lanes.  

Parking Lots – To ensure the safety of our students, the staff parking lot is out of bounds to our students & parents. Parents may park in the parking lot  at the end of the Kiss and Ride lane.
