The International Day of Persons with Disabilities takes place December 3rd of each year. Today we would like to highlight the importance of human rights. A human right is a right that is believed to belong to every person, such as the right to life, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education. Everyone is entitled to these rights. Unfortunately, people with disabilities face discrimination and exclusion in many areas of society. The International Day of Persons with Disabilities provides us with an opportunity to learn more about human rights and how our school and community can support the rights of all people.
