Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week
Dear Frank Panabaker Families,
Next week, our school will be recognizing Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week, a time to come together as a community to promote kindness, inclusion, and respect for all.
Each day, students will explore a different theme through our morning announcements and classroom activities, helping them reflect on how their actions contribute to a safe and caring school environment. Our daily themes are:
- Day 1: Understanding Human Rights
Students will learn about basic human rights and how bullying can often target aspects of identity. We’ll explore the importance of respecting and protecting each other’s rights. - Day 2: Being an Upstander
We’ll focus on the power of speaking up and supporting others. Students will learn how small actions can make a big difference in preventing bullying. - Day 3: Collaborative Classroom Agreements
Classes will work together to create shared agreements that promote kindness, safety, and respect—building a strong foundation for positive relationships. - Day 4: Teasing, Aggression, and Bullying
Students will learn to recognize the differences between these behaviours and discuss consistent actions that help create a welcoming and inclusive school culture.
We encourage families to continue these conversations at home and celebrate the values of empathy, courage, and community. Together, we can help every student feel safe, valued, and supported.
Thank you for your continued partnership in making Frank Panabaker a place where everyone belongs.
