Be You Day
On Friday, June 21st Frank Panabaker will be having our very first “Be You” day! You may notice that our flagpole now has a second flag. The flag that now flies with our Canadian Flag is called a Progress Flag and this flag reminds us that there are many different types of people and families, and we celebrate them all.
A quote from Gilber Baker, “What I like about the rainbow is it fits all of us. It’s all the colours. It represents all genders. It represents all races. It’s the rainbow of humanity.”
On Friday, students will be participating in various activities including the creation of a rainbow tree, affirmation messages on a rainbow, and an affirmation rock garden. In addition to these activities, all classes will take some time on Friday to write positive messages of pride and affirmations in chalk to cover our asphalt area.
Students are also invited to participate in dressing in rainbow colours to show our acceptance of everyone.
