Important School Parking Lot Safety Reminder

Dear Frank Panabaker Families,
I hope this message finds you well. We are reaching out to share an important reminder regarding our school parking lot procedures and the safety of our students, families, and staff.
Over the past several weeks, we have noticed a significant increase in the number of cars entering our parking lot for morning drop‑off between 8:00 and 8:15 a.m. With 23 school buses arriving during this time, alongside family vehicles, the congestion has become a growing safety concern.
To help manage traffic flow and ensure the safety of everyone on site, we have begun closely monitoring the parking lot during peak times. We have also placed pylons in designated No Stopping areas to prevent vehicles from parking or pausing where it is unsafe to do so.
Recently, we have observed some families stopping or parking along the side of the parking lot to walk their children to the playground or front doors. Please note that this area is also a No Stopping zone. Vehicles parked here create additional congestion, and buses are having difficulty safely navigating between them. For everyone’s safety:
  • There is no parking or stopping permitted along the side of the parking lot.
  • Families may not leave their vehicle in the parking lot to walk their child to the playground.
  • If you need to park and walk your child, please make alternative arrangements outside of the school parking lot.
At this time, our school does not have a formal “Kiss and Ride” system, which makes it even more important that all families follow the expectations in place.
Additionally, we ask that all students exit their vehicle on the walkway side only, never on the traffic side. This simple step helps prevent close calls with moving vehicles.
Finally, please remember to obey the two stop signs located within our parking lot and adhere to the posted speed limit at all times.
We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and support. By working together and following these procedures, we can help ensure a safe and smooth drop‑off and pick‑up experience for everyone.
For those who have gone through our volunteer process and would like to offer your help during morning drop off times, we’d love to hear from you! Please send me an email at [email protected].
Thank you for helping us keep our students, families, and staff safe.
