A Message from Mrs. Vanderlip and Mrs. Evans

Dear Frank Panabaker Families,

As this school year comes to an end under atypical circumstances, we would like to extend appreciation to our families who have partnered with staff to provide our students with opportunities to continue their distance learning in the comfort and safety of their homes. We truly could not have accomplished our tasks without the support and dedication of our parents and guardians!  Our students have been exposed to many unique learning opportunities and our hope is that distance learning has instilled the value of learning wherever it takes place in life.

We would like to once again congratulate our Grade 8 graduates of 2020! We are very proud of this graduating class and wish them all the best as they continue their learning in high school. Award winners will receive their awards in the fall once we are back to school.

We are thankful for the unique contributions that each of these staff members has brought to the Frank Panabaker community and wish them all the best. A reminder to families that class placements will be shared with families on the first day of school in September and a list of teachers and staff for the 2020/21 school year will be posted on the school website in August.

If you are eligible for transportation for the coming school year, you will receive a letter with all pertinent information from Hamilton Wentworth Student Transportation Services over the summer. We recognize that the structure of back to school is unknown for September however, the Ministry of Education and Public Health will be providing guidelines for what back to school will look like for the fall. Families are encouraged to listen to the media for updates, follow our board website messaging and subscribe to our school website by clicking on the subscribe button on our main page.  This will provide you with current and up to date messaging on how HWDSB will proceed with school re-opening in the fall.  We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work with Public Health to ensure the safety and well-being of students during this time.

As we end the school year, the teachers and staff at Frank Panabaker want to wish each of our students a wonderful and fun-filled summer! Students have worked very hard and we are very proud of the growth we have seen in each of you. We look forward to seeing you in September!
