Principal Update

Dear Frank Panabaker students and families,

We have just finished our first official week of distance learning. Teachers and staff have worked hard preparing, planning and sharing lessons via different social platforms to deliver programming to you. The ministry directive is to continue to focus on Literacy, Math, Science, and Social Studies, History or Geography. You might even see some optional lessons posted by your Music, Art or PE teacher. Your feedback told us that it was both a very exciting and challenging week trying to figure out how to access, complete and respond to your teachers’ lessons and assignments. Please know that with your feedback we continue to learn and find the most effective ways to deliver the information and lessons to you. Every student has their own style of learning and our teachers will continue to provide the flexibility they need to be successful. Moving forward, determine the best location in your home and time of the day to access your learning and continue to ask questions for clarity and provide feedback to your teachers. Your success is our success.

Deployment of devices to students who requested them will likely occur this Thursday.  These families/students will receive a phone call early next week with more information.

For families celebrating Easter and Passover this weekend, enjoying family traditions will likely be celebrated in many different and creative ways. Be sure to put your work aside and enjoy family time together. Happy Easter and Passover!

We miss our students and families dearly. We truly understand how challenging the current situation is for all of you, however, right now, in order to come together, we must stay apart.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding,

Jenny Seto-Vanderlip, Principal
