DECEMBER Calendar and Weekly Reminders…

Now that we have reached a tentative agreement, I am no longer on “work to rule” and I am pleased to report that I am able to restart sending out Weekly Reminders and Monthly Calendars. Following are your Weekly Reminders for this coming week. And, for those of you who missed the December calendar on the school website, I am also attaching a copy for your review (attached).

December 2015

Thursday, December 3rd

* Nutrition Program roll out (Nutrigrain bars, clementines, cheese string)

* Mad Science (for those who are registered)

Nutrition Program Rolls Out TOMORROW

The Nutrition Program begins tomorrow, Thursday, December 3rd. The program will happen every Tuesday and Thursday, and will be a little different this year. Every Tuesday and Thursday for the month of December, students can have a choice of cheese strings, clementines, or Nutrigrain bars. Next month, the choices will change again and we will let you know what options are available. Special thanks to our parent volunteers for helping out with this program. It is greatly appreciated! Happy snacking!

Toonie Tuesday’s

Just a reminder that Toonie Tuesday’s started this week. Kernel popcorn bags are $2 each. Flavour choices are Kettle Corn, Butter, & Low Fat Caramel. All proceeds go towards the Earl Kitchener Nutrition Program.

Cupcake Containers

If you graciously brought in cupcakes on Monday for monthly birthdays, please check to see if you picked up your containers. We have a few left over in the office if you are missing your Tupperware.

Wesley’s Christmas Store

In keeping with Earl Kitchener’s tradition of ‘The Giving Tree’, we will be collecting donations of knitted goods, new, unwrapped toys, and gifts as well as non-perishable food items. These items will be donated to Wesley’s Christmas Store which provides those in need with the opportunity to shop for free to choose food and gifts. This program serves many individuals and families each year. Please drop off your donations by the tree in the front foyer of Earl Kitchener by Friday, December 11th. Thank you very much!!

EK CD’s and Water Bottls

https://tilt.tc/KPMi

The Earl Kitchener CD’s are a great holiday gift! CD’s are only $20, and an extra $5 gets a commemorative school water bottle (pictures attached). Proceeds are earmarked for a much needed stage lighting system in the auditorium. And with every order, you will also receive a free colouring poster by artist Joe Ollman for each child in the family. The campaign ends on December 9th, so get your orders in now to avoid disappointment. (Both CDs and water bottles will be distributed during the last week before the break.)
