École Earl Kitchener School has a long tradition of excellence. Founded in 1915, it has been providing quality education and innovative programs to families in Hamilton’s southwest. Despite its excellent reputation and successful past, Earl Kitchener School continues to strive to make a good thing even better.

Physical improvements have also been a welcome change. New windows, climate control systems, washrooms, an elevator, and other additions are complete and in use. The second phase of revitalization has also been completed; this included seeing the building painted throughout and the installation of new flooring.

Our new playground was dedicated on September 18, 2007 by Silken Lauman, a much admired Canadian Olympian. In partnership with the City of Hamilton, our community undertook the the redevelopment of our outdoor playground. The result is a stunningly beautiful community park with new play-structures, a fitness centre, gathering areas, and a lot more green!

Inclusion is an important word at Earl Kitchener. Within our community, we warmly receive students from a variety of cultural, economic, and ability levels. Earl Kitchener School is a place where all are treated with respect and provided with the opportunity to learn.

Community involvement is a hallmark of Earl Kitchener. Parents are involved through School Council, Home and School, community events, and assisting teachers in the classroom. Community BBQ’s, Open House, Fright Night, daily milk program, pizza days, birthday cupcakes and seasonal concerts are all part of the Earl Kitchener tradition.

At Earl Kitchener, we are “Changing The World One Child At A Time”.
