World Cup Frenzy: Thursday!

Hello Cootes Families!

There is sooo much to celebrate on the World Cup Soccer stage.  First, Canada advanced to the tournament for the first time in 36 years!  Second, they broke a record for the fastest first goal scored in a World Cup match – scoring the first game goal in the 68th second of the first half of their match against Croatia.  Canada is showing the world that we are strong contenders!  While they suffered a loss of 4-1 yesterday, they are still set to play Morocco this Thursday, and our Cootes Community is ready to celebrate with a World Cup Day!  On Thursday students and staff are invited to wear Red and White OR the colours of their favorite World Cup Contending Nation!  Let’s splash the school with a world of colours!
