Important Updates for our Cootes Families

Technology Collection

We are beginning to collect iPads that were distributed for student use in the spring for online learning. If you were assigned a school iPad and the charging cable, please return the device to the school with your child. The child will then hand it in to the teacher. Please do not drop the devices off at the main office.

Walking Path

When dropping off or picking up your child, please use the walkways between the pods. For safety reasons we do not want parents crossing within pods. We will be marking the walking paths with foot prints in the very near future to make these walkways more visible.

Pre-Existing Health Conditions 

If your child has a symptom that is normal for them related to a known cause or condition, parents/guardians/caregivers are strongly encouraged to provide this information as early as possible to the office and the teacher before the symptoms display themselves. If we are not made aware of these pre-conditions your child may be sent home as per the COVID 19 school screening protocol.

Masks

Please check the fit of your child’s mask daily to ensure no gapping by the cheek, chin and nose area. It is also a good idea to send in more than one mask in a baggie in case one gets dirty or lost. We do have have extra masks at the school if your child does require one.
