Welcome Back and Happy New Year!
We hope everyone had a restful and joyful holiday season. As we begin 2026, we are excited to continue learning and growing together at Billy Green Elementary!
Morning Bell Times
Our school day begins with entry at 8:40 a.m. It’s really important that students arrive on time so they can start the day smoothly and minimize disruptions to learning. We understand that sometimes things happen, and we appreciate your efforts to prioritize punctuality whenever possible. Working together helps ensure every child has the best start to their day!
Dress for the Weather
Please ensure students are dressed appropriately for winter conditions. Warm coats, hats, mittens, and boots help keep everyone safe and comfortable during outdoor play.
Morning Entry & Parking Lot Safety
A reminder that our parking lot is reserved for staff only in the morning and afterschool. Families dropping off or picking up students should avoid the lot at these times to ensure safety for students who walk and cross into the playground and to allow buses to enter without delay. Thank you for helping us keep our community safe.
Value in Action: JOY
Our focus for January is JOY – finding positivity and enjoying the process of learning. This month, we also want to emphasize the power of words. Words have impact, and we encourage families to start the year by chatting with students about using words that bring joy and lift others up. Our goal is to ensure that every student feels like they belong – and words that lift up are one way to make this happen. Let’s work together to create a community where kindness and positivity shine!
Staffing Update
We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Medeiros, who will be replacing Mrs. Lubertino while she is away. Please join us in making her feel at home in our Billy Green community!
Volunteers Needed
