Winter Break & January Update

Happy December to all our BG Families!
Our Winter Showcase this week was a great opportunity for some of our classes to prepare and present something special. It was great that so many parents/guardians/caregivers were able to join us. We also appreciate our educators for making this event possible.
We are very thankful to our school community for supporting our food drive this year. Our donation was taken to Hamilton Food Share today. We have about 1000 canned goods! Thanks so much to all those who were able to participate.
A reminder that schools will be closed from December 25th until January 5th for Winter Break. The last day for students will be this Friday, December 22 and students will return after the break on Monday, January 8. Students have been reminded to do a desk and locker clean out this week and to make sure that no food items are left at school.
Our Lost & Found items have been organized for students to look through. Any items left in our lost & found will be donated to a local charity over the break. If your children are missing anything please remind them to check our lost & found this week.
We hope you’re able to enjoy some of your favourite family activities during this break. When we return in 2024, we will be celebrating Joyful January from January 8th to 12th.

Tuesday, January 9 – Red, White and Winter Walk Day (dress to be outside for our scavenger hunt!)
Wednesday, January 10 – Gator Spirit Wear Day (wear your gator-gear or green)
Thursday, January 11 – Winter Dance Day
Friday, January 12 – Joy Day & Comfy Cozy Day
