Outdoor Play & Cold Weather

Depending on the season, preparing for outdoor play can mean anything from applying sunscreen to wear mittens and a hat.

During winter, it’s important that children come to school prepared for the cold. Students should wear boots, mittens/gloves and a hat.  It’s also a good idea to keep an extra pair of mittens, socks, etc. in their backpack in case they are needed.

We plan to only stay inside when the temperature is at or below -15C or -20C with wind chill or when the rain doesn’t allow us to go out. Please plan for your child to be outside daily.
