Billy Green ReOrganization

BG Families,

As you know, November 3 is the first transition date identified for students to switch between in-person learning and remote learning.

These switches do have repercussions across the board including at Billy Green.  Here, as a result of the student enrollment changes, teaching positions are also changing.  The overall impact at Billy Green is that we lose 6 teachers (Mrs. Burke, Mrs. Carbone, Mr. Fleming, Ms. Maika, Mr. Minich and part of Mr. Ingrassia) and 1 DECE (Mrs. Hayes).

Losing a teacher creates a chain reaction across the school as many students need to be relocated into new homerooms. We understand that this can be difficult for students, and families.  As much as possible, we have tried to avoid unnecessary moves.  When moves have been required, we have made them by considering what is best for the students.

I know this will be upsetting to some and I apologize in advance.

We apologize for any disruption this may cause and appreciate your understanding.  Our team of educators at Billy Green will work together with you to ensure as smooth of a transition for your child as possible.

Please see below for a list of our new homerooms and staff assignments.  These changes will take place beginning Tuesday, November 3.

A paper copy of a personalized letter has been sent home with all students Tuesday, October 27.
