Halloween & Dance-A-Thon
BG Families,
This Thursday (October 31) is our Halloween Dance-A-Thon.
Halloween Costumes
Students may come to school dressed in their costumes from the beginning of the day. Please remember that there are no weapons allowed with costumes and no ‘scary’ masks (as we have young students). Students who do wear masks as part of their costumes will be asked to remove them for safety and respect at certain times (e.g., in the hallways, during lessons, during nutrition breaks).
Dance-A-Thon & Flash Mob
Due to the wet weather forecast, here’s our plan for the Dance-A-Thon and Flash Mob.
Please note that our Dance-A-Thon Flash Mob is replacing our primary parade this year.
9:00-9:20 – Jk-Gr4 Flash Mob in the gym (parents are welcome to watch from the perimeter of the gym)
11:50-12:00 – Gr 4-5 Flash Mob in the gym
1:50-2:00 – Gr6-8 Flash Mob in the gym
[If the weather is clear, Jk-Gr8 will be outside for the Flash Mob at 9:00.]
Throughout the day our Jk-Gr8 students will have Dance-A-Thon time in the gym with similar grades grouped together. Grade 3-8 students will be able to buy snacks during their Dance-A-Thon time.
There will be an alternate space provided for any students who are not permitted to go to their dance time.
A reminder that contributions for the Dance-A-Thon can be brought to the school with your child. Alternately you may wish to contribute online through SchoolCash Online. For every $20 raised, the student will receive a ballot to be used towards winning prizes. The class that raises the most money will win a class reward. Thanks in advance for your support!
