Winter Walk Day (WWD) is an annual celebration of winter walking that takes place on the first Wednesday of February. Schools across Ontario will celebrate WWD with special events on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026. Schools participate by promoting walking and wheeling to school and organizing winter-themed walking events.

On Saturday February 7th the Art Gallery of Hamilton is holding a Jamesville Community Art Making Day at Bennetto Community Centre for ages 13-100.

HWDSB will be hosting an in-person information session on February 19th 6:30-8:00pm at the Education Centre. We are offering free child minding for those families who may need this service. This is intended for those families who may not have been able to attend the virtual session that was held on January 27th.
