Our School

Bennetto School is a Junior Kindergarten to Grade Eight school located in the North End of Hamilton. Bennetto provides quality education to five hundred students. In 2010 we introduced full-day junior/senior kindergarten.

The “ New Bennetto” School is a combination of Centennial School  ( JK-5), Bennetto Middle School ( Gr. 6-8) and Robert Land School ( JK-5). All three schools amalgamated between 2002 and 2004. Our present school population is supported by 24 classroom teachers, 3.0 Learning Resource Teachers, 1.0 Teacher Librarian, 2.0 Physical Education Teachers, 2.0 French Teachers, 1.0 English as a Second Language Teacher and 4 ECE Teachers. Our full staff complement is further enhanced by one Instructional Coach.

We also have 14.0 Educational Assistants who support teachers in the delivery of program and students who have special needs. Bennetto School has one special education classes that service the needs of system students. We provide a full range of programs and activities to meet the needs of our students.

Parent & Community Involvement

Community

Bennetto operates in collaboration with a number of community agencies. The North Hamilton Health Centre provides essential medical care and referral services for our families

We have 16 community partnerships supporting parents and their children at Bennetto School.
