Cooking with Compass
CWC is an 8-week experiential learning program in partnership between Compass Community Health, Hamilton Public Health Services, and Bennetto and St. Lawrence schools. The program is offered to students in grade 3, 4, and 5, only at these locations. This cooking and gardening program takes place during classroom time, once a week, for 8 weeks, and will teach students social and emotional skills through offering interactive curriculum-linked programming. Student will come to Compass each week and participate in culinary and horticultural educational activities that are linked to student curriculum. Each week students will work together, following a recipe to collaboratively create a meal or snack.
