Dear Parents,

This year, Ancaster Meadow’s Terry Fox celebration walk/run will be held on Friday October 8th. With Covid Restrictions in place it will look a little different than previous years. On October 8th, your son or daughter’s class will go outside to their section of the field at some point in the day and celebrate Terry’s legacy by walking or running the perimeter of their area for a short period of time. Classroom teachers will determine their class’s time and supervise their class while outside. Normal Covid masking rules will take place. Classes will not mix with other cohorts. Please, no spectators this year.

Terry said, “Anything is possible if you try.” So, the theme for this year’s Terry Fox Run is “Try Like Terry.” It is our goal to get all students outside and participate in our celebration to the best of their abilities and “Try Like Terry”.

While donations to the Terry Fox Foundation are encouraged, we are not asking students to go door to door to collect funds. In fact, only online pledges will be accepted so no money needs to be exchanged or brought to school. Money brought to school will not be accepted. To Donate please go to http://www.terryfox.ca/AncasterMeadowES.
