This week’s update will focus on a variety of different notices that have been shared by the HWDSB over the past few days. There is a lot of important information and I encourage families to read the included links.

Labour update: The school is closed on Friday Jan 31, Thursday Feb 6, Friday Feb 7 due to the current labour situation. The labour situation continues to evolve and can change, families should pay attention to the HWDSB Labour Updates on a regular basis.

A letter about Lunchbox orders was posted to the school web site this week. The Lunchbox program is run by parent volunteers from our Home & School Association https://www.hwdsb.on.ca/ancastermeadow/files/2020/01/Ancaster-Meadow-ES-2019-2020-Update-Letter.pdf

For families looking to register a new student for Kindergarten in September 2020, registration will open on February 3. Registration information can be found at https://www.hwdsb.on.ca/kindergarten/

The HWDSB has posted information for families about the current Coronavirus situation. The web site has links to information from both the provincial and local Public Health officers. https://www.hwdsb.on.ca/blog/wuhan-novel-coronavirus/ The safety of students and staff is paramount and the school follows the direction of Public Health in terms of any actions or responses to health related situations.
