Principal Update Oct 4

Hello,

It was great meeting so many families last night at our Meet the Teacher night. I want to thank our parent Home & School volunteers for organizing another successful BBQ.  Parent teacher interviews are scheduled for Thurs Nov 7 and Fri Nov 8. Further information about interview times will come out with the initial Progress Report on Tuesday October 29th.

I know many parents have mentioned the current labour situation that has been in the media. All families can find updates from the HWDSB on this situation at https://www.hwdsb.on.ca/about/labour-update/ Information in this situation can change quickly and parents are encouraged to check for updates on a regular basis.  Some specific information that I want to highlight:

• International Language Classes are cancelled for Sat Oct 5.
• Cross-country will continue to run with the Thurs Oct 10 rain date.
• All other extra-curricular activities are cancelled (including swim team) as per the HWDSB parent letter.
• If before and after care arrangements require new people to pick up students, please make sure notes are coming to school that indicate the authorized people to pick up.
• Please try to reduce garbage in lunches
