Principal Update April 12

Another great week at Ancaster Meadow. On Wednesday, staff and students came together to celebrate diversity and inclusivity with the International Day of Pink. On Thursday, the HWDSB recognized the contribution of the many volunteers around the Board; the tremendous efforts of the Ancaster Meadow Home & School Association were recognized.  Thank you to all our volunteers who help with everything from reading support, class field trips, special class events, pizza and lunch program, and fundraising. The students at Ancaster Meadow benefit from the huge number of activities that our volunteers make possible – Thank you!

Look out for Ancaster Meadow in the Hamilton Spectator Pulse page next week. It is a great way to profile some of our student work.

An important upcoming date for all students in grade 3 And 6 is the EQAO test dates. Ancaster Meadow students will be writing EQAO on Wednesday May 22, Thursday May 23, and Monday May 27. Families of students in grade 3 and 6 are asked to avoid appointments and other absences on these days.

Our School Council (6:30pm) and Home & School (7:30pm) meet onTues Apr 16 in the school library. The Home & School Association is also running a Seeds and Bulbs fundraiser to get everyone in the Spring spirit. Information packages were sent home with students and order information is available on School Cash online. Our Home & School Association also runs a Facebook page, check out https://www.facebook.com/AncasterMeadowHomeandSchool/ for more details. This page is maintain by the Home & School Association and not the school.

Just a reminder that there is no school on Friday April 19 and Monday April 20 for the Easter holidays.
