Principal Update April 5

Hello,

It is hard to believe that the calendar has already rolled around to April. This time of year classes are busy with a number of class assignments. Many of the teachers at Ancaster Meadow have blogs or social media that profile many of the class activities going on. Following these updates from your child’s teacher is a wonderful way to stay up to date about what is happening in the classroom.  The school Twitter account @ancastermeadow also profiles many of the events.

Ancaster Meadow had a team participate in the HWDSB VEX Robotics competition this week. Both the Junior and Senior team had a good performance; with the Junior team sharing first place with another school! Our Co-Ed basketball team won the Consolation Final this week. A Table Tennis team is busy practicing and a new LEGO club was started. There is always a lot going on at Meadow to keep students busy! It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff who contribute their time to make sure these activities run.

Students are encouraged to participate in the International Day of Pink on April 10th. This event promotes students coming together to stop bullying. More information about the event can be found at https://dayofpink.org/about/

Our next School Council (6:30pm) and Home & School Association (7:30pm) meeting will be held in the school library on Tues April 16th. A reminder that there is no school on Fri April 19th and Mon Apr 22nd for the Easter Holiday.

Our Home & School Association is also running a rain barrel fundraiser. Orders can be placed at

https://rainbarrel.ca/meadow/ orders need to be placed by April 25th.

Have a great weekend,

Simon Goodacre, Principal
