Principal Update March 29

Hello,

The sunny skies this week has led to lots of outside time this week which has helped with everyone’s energy levels. In terms of energy, our athletics programs are as active as ever: basketball is underway, senior swim team has started, cricket is preparing for a tournament, and triathlon sign up is on.

This week also had a focus on science education. Our grade 6 students went on a field trip to the Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair at Mohawk College. Our grade 1 students participated in the Scientist in the Classroom program Friday.  Our Robotics team is also preparing for the Board-level competition.

The HWDSB will be implementing a new process for families to report attendance online. Updates about this program have been sent out directly from the HWDSB. The school will be sending more information about this program as a school specific start date for Ancaster Meadow becomes available.
