Principal Update Jan 18

Hello

On Thursday I had the pleasure to take the Director of the HWDSB on a tour of the school. This was a great opportunity to highlight many of the amazing things happening at Ancaster Meadow- the staff and students really should be proud of the school.  In addition to focusing on traditional academics, the Director was able to play drums with some of our band members and battle our checkers team. Check out the school Twitter feed for some great highlights.

Jan 23rd will have Ancaster High staff visit to start the process of discussing grade 9 option sheets for our grade 8 students. Basketball is in full swing. Scientists in the Schools will be happening on Jan 28th.

Our next School Council (6:30pm) and Home & School Association (7:30pm) meeting is Tuesday January 22nd. I look forward to seeing a number of parents, new parents are always welcome.

A reminder that Fri Jan 25 is a PA Day and there is no school for students. During this day our teaching staff will be focused on the first Report Card. These report cards will go home with students on Feb 12.

The last day for pizza orders in Jan 22nd. It is important that parents order pizza through School Cash Online. There is no guarantee that pizza is available for cash purchase.
