Holiday Concert Clarification

The Friday December 14th Principal Update indicated that the Holiday Concert was for students only.

A whole school assembly is a wonderful opportunity for students to integrated throughout the different ages and grades. Unfortunately this causes some capacity issues in regards to seating space. Fire regulations have specific capacity requirements that must be respected. There was also some miscommunication between the office and classroom teachers; I apologize for this confusion.

Appreciating the input of parents that were looking forward to the concert, I have consulted with the staff organizing the event. We can have parents attend the assembly but we cannot use any chairs for seating. Using chairs for seating greatly reduces the fire capacity of the gym. The only seating available will be the bleachers attached to the wall, unfortunately this is very limited and will be first come, first serve. All other family members will be standing room only at the back of the gym.

A reminder that the parking lot will be closed to traffic during the school bus time. When the parking lot is open, all parking must be in a marked parking spot. Families are encouraged to park offsite.
