Principal Update Dec 14

Hello,

Today was our annual Holiday Bazaar hosting by our Home & School Association. Students were very excited and a lot of fun was had by students. A huge thank you to all the families who donated items and to our parent volunteers. At Ancaster Meadow, parent volunteers ensure that not only special events such as Holiday Bazaar can run but also our weekly pizza and lunch programs. While a small portion of the volunteer time is visible, a huge number of volunteer hours occur behind the scenes. Thank you to all our volunteers!

This week had a successful Kindergarten holiday performance and classroom visit for parents and families. Students in grades 1 through 8 had the opportunity to travel to Ancaster High School and watch the Wizard of Oz play. Yesterday our Student Council ran a successful crazy hair and pajama day.

Next week is the last week of school before the holidays. Our students in grade 1-8 will have  holiday concert on Thurs Dec 20. This event is for our students only, unfortunately we do not have space for parents to attend.  On Tues Dec 18 there is a staff versus students volleyball game which is a lot of fun.

To be aligned with current best practices, payments for our school trips and other expenses will be School Cash online. For most trips, cash payments will not be accepted and families will need to use the online payment.
