Safe Welcome Protocol

Dear Parents / Guardians / and Visitors:

While you are most welcome at A.M Cunningham School, this is to remind you to please continue to access the school via the main entrance and check in at the office if you are dropping something off or picking up your child for an appointment. If you need to speak to a teacher, please phone the school to arrange a mutually convenient time to meet. As we would like to work in partnership with you to ensure a safe and orderly environment for all students, we ask that you do not interrupt your child’s teacher during instructional time, as even a brief conversation at the classroom door could potentially put children at risk if the teacher is not actively supervising the class. This applies to all staff members, whether they are in the main body of the school or those in portables.

At times, we understand that there are essential things that you may need to communicate to the teacher. If that is the case, please leave a message at the office for the teacher and he/she will contact you as soon as possible. The staff at A.M. Cunningham School is committed to open communication, and we also understand that finding the right time for discussion will award you the attention that you need.
