Our School

W.H. Ballard School, in 1923, was the largest public school in Canada and a modern adaptation of the sixteenth century English Renaissance architecture.

  • The school is so well established that there are many children of past Ballard graduates currently attending Ballard.
  • The school building received major renovations in 2005
    and there is a plan to renovate the playground in 2007.
  • W.H. Ballard is a community school and proudly noted for it’s motto,  “Where Excellence Is A Tradition”

  • Attendance Incentive Program- Recognition assemblies and rewards for perfect/near perfect attendance  (very successful, additional funds were awarded to our school because of our improved attendance data)
  • Character Education- Bobcat Points honouring students for demonstrating the monthly character trait
