5 Ways to Mental Well-being

Embracing The 5 Ways to Mental Well-being was a focus yesterday for our Grade 5 to 8 students who experienced an interactive workshop with Dr. Behnke-Cook with a themed approach connected to Dr. Seuss quotes.  The goal of the session was to bring awareness of how to bring the 5 ways to mental well-being  to action in an personal way.

Throughout the session, students noted strategies and referenced a bookmark resource.  Thanks to Nurse Michele Greenway who supported our learning during the day.  More resources can be found here:  City of Hamilton & Mental Well-Being.

Homeroom teachers will be following up with discussions leading into raising awareness for Bell Let’s Talk Day on January 31, 2018.  SWO students will be encouraged to join in the conversation!
