School Access for YMCA Child Care Services

Families of YMCA Child Care Services,

Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board’s Safe Welcome Protocol supports a welcoming learning environment ensuring that parents and other authorized visitors have access to elementary schools while keeping students and staff safe.

A communication being sent home today to students / families who access the School Age Child Care Program:
YMCA Child Care Entrance

To support the Safe Welcome Program effective Wednesday January 10, 2018,  all outside doors leading into the school will be locked.

Parents and/or caregivers will enter through the YMCA Child Care Entrance when dropping off or picking up your child in any of our School Age Child Care Programs including Full Day Kindergarten.

The Child Care Entrance is video monitored and all guests will be buzzed in to gain entry into the school.

Please note that the Child Care Entrance is only to be used between the hours of 7:00 am-9:00 am and 3:30 pm-6:00 pm when our School Age programs are in operation.

Families are to use the front doors during regular school hours of 9:10 am – 3:30 pm.

Thank you for your co-operation!
