Year End News

Can you believe the year is coming to an end??  The time has certainly flown by!

As we start to look ahead to next year, please find below important information for the upcoming few days of school.

Report Cards will be distributed on Monday, June 25.  In the Report Card envelope, you will find your child’s class placement for next year.  All placements are tentative as we may need to move students in the fall due to shifting enrolment.  Please do not call the school asking for a change of classroom.  No changes will be made at this time.  Please be sure to review the report with your child and celebrate the successes.  There is also the opportunity to set some goals for next year.  Please sign and return the bottom of Page 4.

At the end of the school year, we often see a change in staff for a variety of reasons.  We will be saying farewell to the following staff members:

Teachers:  Mrs. DiFelice, Mrs. Kennedy, Mrs. Williamson, Ms. Mulholland, Ms. Richarz, Mr. Coulis, Miss Susynar, Mrs. Malcolmson (Reading Specialist), Mrs. Kim (Itinerant ESL)

Educational Assistants:  Mr. Evelyn (Happy Retirement!), Ms. Rowe, Ms. DeMelo

Office Staff:  Mr. Robertson (to RA Riddell School), Miss Williams

To those families who will not be returning to Ray Lewis in the fall, we wish you the best of luck at your new schools!  And to our Grade 8s moving on to high school, good luck in the next step of your educational journey.

We are still in the process of collecting library books.  If you have any overdue books, please return to school as soon as possible.

Back to school is Tuesday, September 4th for students in Grades 1-8.

September 4th we will be welcoming students new to Kindergarten ONLY for a visit.

Senior Kindergarten students begin school on Wednesday, September 5th.
