Volunteers Wanted!

Please join us for our final Home & School / School Council meeting of the year on May 31 at 7 PM.  Many of our volunteers are grade 5 parents who will move to middle school next September.  We need volunteers for one-time events such as the Read-a-thon or bi-weekly events such as pizza and pita lunches.  Below is a list of some of the events organized by the Cootes Paradise volunteers.

September – Meet the Staff night – bake sale and membership table

October – Pumpkin Carving, Night Hike

November – Magazine Campaign

December – Winter concert bake sale and food drive / North Hamilton Community Health Centre Food Drive

January – Read-a-thon – to coincide with Literacy week

February – Dance-a-thon

March – Staff Appreciation

April – PRO Grant parent night (traditionally hosted by School Council)

May – Open House – Bake Sale / Book Fair

June – Track and Field / refreshments, etc. / Grade 5 Farewell – hosted by the Grade 4 kids / Cootes Draws Arts Event

All Year – Pizza and Pita lunches on Fridays / Lunch Clubs – 6 weeks in the fall and 6 weeks in the winter / Healthy Snack Program – 2 days-a-week / Arts Council – change art in front foyer and plan Arts events
