Vice Principal Update – As Mrs. Waseem continues her leave, we want to extend our sincere thanks to Mrs. Koop and Mrs. Elliott for their support and leadership as temporary Vice Principals during this time. Their contributions to our school community have been greatly appreciated.   Unfortunately, the end of January marks also marks the end of their term at Winona. As a result, we will be welcoming Mrs. Garnier to Winona as our new temporary Vice Principal. We look forward to having her join our team and continuing to support our students, staff, and families.

Student Absences – To avoid repeated system notifications, please remember to enter your child’s absences into Safe Arrivals if they will be absent from school. Absences can be entered 24/7 through various methods. If you prefer not to use the school messenger app, families can call or email our school office, and our staff will manually enter the absence.

Book Donations – From time to time, families ask if our school accepts book donations during home clean-ups. The answer is yes, we do welcome books. However, we are thoughtful about the titles we add to our classrooms. We focus on books that are current, engaging, and reflect the diversity of our students and community. To help guide donations, we have attached a list of titles that our staff especially love to have in their classrooms. If you are doing a winter clean-out and come across books you would like to pass along, please take a look at the list to get an idea as to what our staff most need.
