Big Crunch – On Thursday March 6, we will be participating the Big Crunch events.  Free apples will be provided for all students through donation.  This event is created to raise awareness around school nutrition programs and the Tastebuds organization.  The event is free for all, but if you would like to contribute, we ask you to donate $2 online at www.tastebudshamilton.ca (The donation link works best on laptop or desktop browser) to support student nutrition programs in Hamilton.

Ramadan – With Ramadan beginning this week, our staff will ensure that accommodations are provided for students who are observing this month by fasting.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher if there is additional information you would like to share to support your child’s participation in school.
Human Development – Last week HWDSB informed elementary families that learning on Strand D: Growth and Development and Sexual Health will occur between March 24 and April 30 for the 2024-25 school year.   For families interested in reviewing the curriculum expectations for each grade, please visit the following link https://www.hwdsb.on.ca/elementary/programs/human-development/and select the “Elementary Curriculum Expectations” tab.
An exemption form needs to be completed if families want students exempted from this learning. The form is now available and can be accessed through the Parent Portal. It can be found in the ‘Forms’ section and is titled “Human Development and Sexual Health Exemption.” Paper copies, email or phone calls to schools will also be accepted if the Parent Portal is not an option.
