Embrace the Chill Week – Embrace the Chill Week will take place during the week of January 20. This staff/student collaborative initiative aims to bring our HWDSB guiding values—compassion, dignity, trust, and joy—to life within our school. Announcements, virtual assemblies, and school-wide class-based activities will focus on supporting staff and student mental health and well-being over the winter months. We look forward to sharing some of the planned activities in next week’s memo.
Kiss and Drop Lane – Please be reminded that the “Kiss and Drop” Lane is only for quick stops to let your child(ren) out of the vehicle and then move through. Cars may not be parked or left in the Kiss and Drop Lane during morning drop-off, including after 8:40 am, when there is still a flow of traffic entering the zone. If you need to park and walk your child to the playground or enter the school, please use the large parking lot on the south end of the school.
Student Absences – To avoid repeated system notifications, please remember to enter your child’s absences into Safe Arrivals if they will be absent from school. Absences can be entered 24/7 through various methods. If you prefer not to use the school messenger app, families can call or email our school office, and our staff will manually enter the absence.
