Happy Easter to the Winona families who celebrated and recognized Easter over the weekend.  We hope everyone had an enjoyable long weekend.
Eclipse – As you may know, a rare total solar eclipse will unfold on Monday, April 8. HWDSB in partnership with McMaster University will be providing solar eclipse viewers for all HWDSB students. Families can expect the glasses to come home early this week.  Glasses meet the international standard ISO 12312-2 for safe viewing. Looking directly at the Sun with the naked eye or through any device or filter other than ISO 12312-2 certified eclipse glasses may cause permanent damage and even blindness. Families are reminded to make sure that the glasses are not damaged or scratched before use. Instructions for use can be found on the back side of the solar eclipse viewers.
