Winona School Council presents Wildcat Winterfest & Clothing Sale!

Join us next Friday, December 8th from 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm for a winter-themed, after-school event centred on the love of reading. You can enjoy Winterfest stories and crafts, a graffiti wall, a scavenger hunt, outdoor sports, an exciting Wildcat Mystery, and some pizza and popcorn!

Be sure to check out the Winter Clothing Sale in the library. Families pay what they can. Suggested prices will range from $2-$25. Be sure to drop your pre-loved and ready-to-sell clothing donations in the school foyer before Thursday, December 7th. 100% of the funds raised go to Winona Elementary. Recycling clothing not only gives your garments a second life but also reduces garbage being sent to our landfills.

Families should plan for about an hour visit. Be sure to bring cash for food and clothing purchases!

Can’t wait to see you at this fun-filled family night! To learn more about Winterfest, follow the link. Winterfest Information Video

Last call for Wildcat Spirit Wear – Families interested in ordering Spirit Wear can do so directly from the JML Uniforms page.  Ordering will close on Tuesday, December 5. https://jmluniforms.ca/spirit-wear/winona-wildcats

Supporting Families – Events, activities, food days, and excursions are planned with all students in mind.   Please reach out to a trusted staff member if there are barriers to your child’s participation in any school activity or event.  Our staff can work with each family to provide the required support for participation.

Attendance – This is a busy time of year for many families and acknowledge that some may have plans that require out-of-town visits.  We remind you to enter your child’s absence if they will not be at school due to early vacations or out-of-town visits.  Parents can use SchoolMessenger, email, or call the school office.
