Staffing Update – We would like to share with families that we will be saying goodbye to Mrs. Adler at the end of the school year. We wish her the best of luck as she moves to a new assignment within HWDSB. Welcome to Mr. Ahmed and Mrs. Beatrice (half-time) who will be joining the Winona team as incoming Vice Principals.
Grade 8 Trip – This a reminder that our Grade 8 trip will be arriving back at the school after 8 pm. Our school will provide arrival time updates via school messenger to families. Be sure to check your email if unsure when to pick up your student.
Roots of Empathy – Winona is looking to bring the Roots of Empathy program to our school. Roots of Empathy is a program for elementary school children that supports a positive school climate through building empathy and prosocial behaviour. We are looking for volunteer families to support this program. Are you a proud parent with a new baby? Will your baby be 2 – 4 months old in October? If so, please review the Family Recruitment Flyer 2023 and reach out to the school or listed contact if this is a program you may be interested in supporting.
