Happy Diwali to those in our community who will be celebrating this week.

Photo Day – Please check your child’s backpack.  Proofs were sent home to all students who had their photos taken last week. Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you did not receive them.  For those who were absent, a photo retake day will take place on November 17th.

Crossing from Parking Lot – We ask that families use one of the two marked crosswalk areas to move back and forth from the parking lot. This will assist our bus drivers in moving their vehicles safely through our driveway, by ensuring that all who cross are visible.

PA Day –  A reminder that Monday is a P.A. Day for elementary schools in HWDSB.  There will be no school for students.  All staff will be engaged in professional development focused on supporting learning for all students through inclusive instruction design and classroom practices.

School Council –  All parents/caregivers are welcome to this week’s School Council meetings. You are invited to join us at any time and do not need to commit to all meetings. Minutes from our September meeting will be posted once approved. Our October 27th meeting will take place in the Library at 6:30 pm. Childminding has been arranged for families who require this in order to attend (email [email protected] to confirm your needs).  For those interested in better understanding the role of School Council, a handbook has been developed by HWDSB –  School-Council-Handbook-2022-23-Final.pdf (hwdsb.on.ca)
