November Updates

Hello Westwood Community!

Tomorrow we welcome November and wanted to provide you a few updates to help support the month.

First and foremost, thank you for subscribing to our website.  This is the best way to stay connected with Westwood.  Please spread the word to other Westwood families to subscribe if they are not getting this same information in their own personal email addresses!

Pizza Days are Back!!

Starting tomorrow, students who pre-ordered will have their first pizza day!  This year, pizza days will be held on Tuesday of each week with money due by Friday for the following Tuesday. Please note that you are can send in pizza money with your child at any time during the week.  Money will not be accepted after 10:30am on Friday’s.  If your child is away on a Friday, please send the money into school earlier in the week to our child’s classroom teacher.  If money is sent to the school after 10:30am on a Friday, the order will be delayed until the following week.  Thank you to Mrs. Ruksenas’ grade 4/5 class for running this event.

Hamilton Bulldogs Game!!

There will be a note going home on November 1st making you aware of a FREE event.  Hamilton Bulldogs, through the sponsorship of Jackson Square Mall, are providing our students with FREE tickets to the Friday, November 18th game.  The game is at 7pm and takes place at First Ontario Place.  If you are interested in this event, please send back the form with your child by Wednesday, November 9th.  No late submissions will be accepted.

School Council Meeting – November 3rd, 2022

We have our upcoming School Council Meeting this Thursday at 6:00pm in our school Learning Commons (Library).  The meeting is scheduled between 6:00pm and 8:00pm.  There will be a virtual option as well and the link will be available on the School Council page of our website.

Remembrance Day Assembly

We will have our school Remembrance Day assembly on Friday, November 11th.  The assembly will be taking place in our school gym.  The assembly will begin at 10:05am and will be open to our students only due to space limitations.
